My First Trash 2 Treasure

I've been inspired by a few blogs to not only try to revamp an old and nearly unusable piece of furniture and turn it into a gorgeous piece of stunning furniture, but to also try to find a piece of furniture in need of this make-over for free (or nearly free.)

Look what I found at the side of the road:

Now, some may say "go put that nasty piece of garbage back and wash your hands, quick!"

but I see... dead furniture something. I don't want to give it away, but I really think I can do something kickin' awesome with it! I hope to have it completed Memorial Day Weekend, but don't hold me to that date. It really depends on how much rain we get this month so I can get this project sanded and painted outside.

  1. I would not say that! I would say quick, run, grab it!! I love the legs and the little wheels. I have had an infatuation lately with furniture with little wheels. I hope I find something great with wheels soon!

  2. i LOVE it! i am so glad you rescued it! you could easily cut some mdf shelves or plywood shelves and repaint the dresser, then paint the inside shelves a fun color, and put some baskets there, or use as a tv stand and put cable boxes there. it has such potential! great find!

  8. Oh my word, I was driving down Olson Road the other day and there was this dresser missing two drawers and I said "What a shame. That cute dresser is missing two drawers!" My husband said, "Don't even think about it!"

And home I came and could not believe my eyes when visiting your blog........Someone rescued that little dresser missing two drawers! It was you!!! Small, small world.... Good luck with your project.
