It really feels like fall and while I want so desperately to jump into my own Christmas crafts and treats I'm making for others, I'm trying hard to pause and slow down to savor this fall moment. I love cold weather and wet leaves (when they stay OUTSIDE!) and warm fires and the spicy scents of woodsmoke and pumpkin bread. Yum! I'm so very thankful to be able to be near my family and include them in my children's lives. I'm especially thankful to be able to do what I love...raise my family and make things. And I'm thankful you're here reading my blog!

Let's see...I'm thankful for....the heat in one of our tractors. This makes total sense when one realizes that I've been hauling corn and beans alternating between two tractors, one with no heat and one with heat (and radio that works). I'm also very thankful for my romantic husband who gave me 'dozer tracks for my skid loader a few Valentine's Days ago....makes my daily life MUCH easier. (He also gives me pretty trinkets: strand of beautiful pearls last Christmas!!!).
I'm thankful for you dear daughter. A mother's love is endless. I'm thankful you are such a good mother; so creative; such a good wife and such a wonderful daughter. Mom
ReplyDeleteI love this time of year myself (pumpkin bread anyone!?) and I love those little bottle caps! Right now, I am very thankful for the health and happiness of myself and my family...and of course, I am thankful for my great friend Lady J (thanks for all the walking, drinking, playing and chatting!).
