Return

Greetings...if there is anyone still reading?

I have been out a while. Not feeling up to making anything, or at least nothing worth sharing. I've been working on healing my heart since my dad passed away. It gets a little better and from time to time...we even might forget a moment, then the reality is so very painful when it comes crashing down around us. And we have to fight to maintain our balance once more.
I'm very lucky to have such an amazing family to help support me when I'm feeling sad or when I need to share my memories and I'm so thankful to have as many as I do.

But I did feel like creating about a month ago...so, little by little I started to craft again. Then I joined the Stampin' Up team and became a demonstrator. Please contact me if you're interested in receiving a catalog, hosting a workshop or placing an order.

With my access to the Stampin' Up materials I made some Christmas cards and projects. I'm posting the pictures here, and will post details later for available kits.
I hope you haven't lost your interest in crafting - these are guaranteed to make your Holiday Bright!

Lovely, lovely…it’s my second favorite time of year! Spring, warm (not hot) sometimes raining, lots of flowers…the boys still in school. ;)

I made a set of cards last week for a friend. They turned out so simple and pretty, that I decided to plan out class around the set. So, next week we are making 7 cards.(!)

Wait, wait, there will  be plenty of time! I have been waiting to make a set of cards for a while but didn’t have the paper I wanted. I found these papers and decided they make a lovely set to keep or give. That’s up to you.

You pick 6 different patterns of paper & the sentiment. A flower if you want, and a plastic box.

The other card is a lovely flower card that doesn’t have any pattern paper on it! Crazy!

So that’s it! Simple and easy, but so pretty!

More Bright Cards

So here are my last two cards for this upcoming class.....they are bright and fun!

this one is absolutely flat...easy mailing!

The sentiment on all of the cards can be switched out to be anything....Mother's Day, Birthday, Congratulations, etc.

Fun cards, easy to make them just the way you want and wow....only $10!
Hope to see you on Tuesday :)

Spring in full force!

If you are in Portland, you are most likely enjoying this gorgeous weather! Can you believe how nice it has been these last few weeks? My yard is so dry and lovely...not the soggy mess we are used to until mid-may! It's fantastic!

Here is one easel-fold card in pretty spring colors. Perfect for a friend or your mom for Mother's day (May 12th).

More cards (and sunshine) to come...tomorrow!

April Cards

Hello!
I have two cards that I made...one is birthday

and the other is not...same card, just a different choice of sentiment.

The kit only has one of this card. You have to decide your sentiment. I like both. :)

The second card in the kit is a dark and striking card, with no sentiment.

It didn't turn out the way I designed it, but I love it! I'm making extra for myself!

Living Loud

I made a third card to go with our next class. This card is such a "boy" card...but I love it anyway!

Each card has a different sentiment, custom cut for each. All are music-themed.
Enjoy!

Spring Thinkin'

I sat in my (clean) craft room this weekend, watching the rain drip off the trees...I wanted to make more valentine's day cards, but I have plenty of those, so I reached for some spring inspiration.

Cold Heart

Brrrrr! It is so cold! I can't believe it, but I am soo looking forward to the rain, because waking up to 23 degree mornings is just not working for me! Lots of pictures on this post...

I was able to clean up my craft room over the weekend and then I crafted up two cute little cards.

outside lighting
This first one is made with a heavy foil-type cardstock.

inside lighting
I used a decorative paper ribbon and flower, with a gray pearl accent.

This second card features a flocked red paper, with a reverse pattern on the second layer.
this is standard 4.25 x 5.5
The stamped  Heart is double stamped and the stamped "ribbon" image is cut out and mounted.

I added some cute red gems, too.

Inside the polka-dot washi tape starts and continues to the front of the card.

gray area is for writing your little love notes

Hope you're staying warm!

LOVE-ly little card

Happy New Year! I hope it was a terrific new year for you! I am so happy to see 2013....I'm looking forward to meeting my goals and just being happy!

During our winter break (and I use "break" very loosely. I didn't get a single "break"...between stomach bugs, holidays and colds) I was able to make two cards....one didn't quite turn out the way I like. I think I better post that one, too. I'll have to take a picture. Anyway, I was able to make one nice card.

this is 5 x 7
I also have a HUMONGOUS mess in my craft room to clean, purge and organize. I think I'll tackle that after I eat these bon-bons and finish watching my stories.........

Just showin'

I'm posting a real quick Christmas planner I made up via the site eighteen25.blogspot.com

I normally don't do the pre-made stuff, 'cuz Im a DIY kinda gal, but these are done so well and it's so easy to print off the front label and put it all together in a Composition book.
We're putting these together today. Should be fun!

Birthday Count Down Calendars

I made these two count-down calendars for some friends of ours.

The picture on this one is not as good, but turned out very cute!

Kid's love to open one box each day, six days before their birthday. My boys certainly love theirs!

Christmas?!

Oh yes...it's almost the Christmas season. It happens at least once a year. ;)

I am getting things done... not one thing has been crossed off I had to cross off painting the kitchen. So far, that's the only project that's been axed. Every year at least two or three are voted off the island.

I made these cards over the weekend and I am including a fry box in this class. The notebook I showed will have to go to the next Christmas class; we won't have enough time for it with these cards.

This first card was inspired by a stamped card I saw on Pinterest.  I thought the label would look cute with paper and not stamped.

I wish I had more time and I'd make up 40 of these for my personal Christmas cards.

This card is a glimmery, shimmery white paper with a acetate window. The words are stamped inside the card.

This fry box I made last year before I got sick...finally, we get to make it! I will make one with a snowflake in Kraft brown to replace the owl...couldn't find it today. I will hunt it down and update the blog.

I'm going to post about birthday boxes later today...It's all the rage on our street. More soon......

F'all Occations 3

It's Fall! It's elections day! It's almost Christmas!
I am just agog at how November casually strolled up and totally slapped me in the face with all these important events!
Don't tell me you saw it coming...

Last week my family went to Washington state to play in the water park for the weekend. We go every November, and we always have a fun, exhausting time. We also don't get any pictures, 'cuz I'm not crazy enough to take my camera or my phone into the water area. So no high-action shots, but lots of fun memories. I'm good with that.

Before we left for a mini vacation, I was able to make two cards. I'll have more time tomorrow to make number 3 while my 'baby' is in Pre-K. SO check back in on Wednesday....Hope you voted!

F'All Occasion TWO

Howdy Howdy!
Loving the rain after 83 days of dry....it's a joy. Now ask me again in 5 months.....I'm sure I'll be tired of it!

There are two cards and a cute paper pumpkin in this next class. the Pumpkin can be used for all of your fall-related holidays.

Also, the two Halloween cards can easily be made into birthday cards, if you prefer.

Hope to see you Tuesday, October 23!
